How this works
An L-system grows lines in parallel from a seed. Each rewrite pass replaces symbols by rules until terminals. Token LB becomes a newline.
Generate appends a stanza to the output; Step +1 advances one rewrite pass without forcing full expansion.
Present hides controls and auto-fits the poem to one screen; Compact tightens spacing globally.
Close with Esc, the X, or the shaded background.
